Skyview Students Cheer on Our Philadelphia Phillies!

From Mrs. Berical
It was a short but busy week for our students at Skyview! The teachers were excited to welcome our students back after a four day weekend!
This week, students began to dismiss to the cafeteria line by table number. This process is helping to alleviate wait time in the cafeteria line and provides students with more opportunity to socialize at their table while they are waiting to get their school lunch. Please continue to remind your child to have their school ID ready if they are getting a school breakfast or lunch. Having their ID ready to go helps to significantly speed up the process in the line.
We are excited to invite our families in for American Education week next! We will be hosting families on Wednesday, November 16th from 8:30-10:30 AM and on Thursday, November 17th from 12:30-2:30 PM. Please be sure to have your drivers license with you for signing in purposes. It is also recommended that you check your child's schedule so that you know what class they are in prior to your arrival.
Next week, our Home and School is hosting a dining experience at Chick Fil A. Families who dine in or out at Chick Fil A and mention Skyview will have 15% of their bill donated to Skyview's Home and School. To help us remember our school spirit for the evening, we will have a Skyview spirit day in school. Please encourage your child to wear any Skyview spirit wear or the colors green and white!
I would like to wish all of our Veterans a very Happy Veterans Day! The Skyview community sincerely thanks you for your service to our country.
Have a wonderful fall weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Berical

Final Skyview Strong Fundraiser Update!
Thank you all SO much for your support of Skyview’s Home and School Association through our second annual Skyview Strong fundraiser! We hope that your students had fun at their celebration festivities on Friday, October 28th.
The fundraiser was a huge success. Working together, the students raised $25,971.25!! This helps cover the operating budget for the 2022-2023 school year as well as will provide two additional free events for the students. More information to come on those events when they are scheduled!
We had donations come in from 3 countries (Canada, Dominican Republic, and Taiwan) and 23 states! The students earned all 8 school-wide rewards. Four of these rewards have already happened—Music in the morning, Hat Day, Kona Ice, and Bicklesaurus returned!! Please ask your students about these fun experiences. The remaining 4 rewards will be occurring throughout the year.
At the time of the announcements on Friday, October 28th—these were the winning teams and classrooms from Skyview Strong 2022:
The Top money raising 5th Grade team is Team Stars having raised over $4,100—so amazing! The Top money raising 6th Grade team is Team Luna—raising over $3,200! These teams have won $300 and get to decide how to spend it. They have also earned having an outside lunch in the Spring! We added another winning team for the outside lunches because of their enormous success! This team is the second highest raising team for the school and raised over $3,400. Congratulations to Team Comets—they will also be having an outside lunch in the Spring!
The top raising 5th grade classroom outside of those teams is Team Volpe and they have also earned an outside lunch. The top raising 6th grade classroom outside of those teams is Team Au and they have also earned an outside lunch. The classroom that raised the most of the entire school is Team Migatz (raising over $1,700!) and her students have won her a Wired Ring Doorbell! Also, we had 2 classrooms earn the Popcorn and Popsicle Parties: Team Volpe and Team Kulp!!
Congratulations on a job well done Skyview students, staff, parents and community! We really appreciate it!
