Our Veteran’s day program is scheduled for Friday, November 10th. Your child will need to wear a specific solid color shirt for the program. The shirt colors are arranged according to grade levels.


Kindergarten and Second grade will be wearing solid white shirts.


First Grade will be wearing solid red shirts.


Third and Fourth Grade will be wearing solid blue shirts.


Fifth Grade will be wearing solid red shirts.


Thank you in advance for helping our students look sharp

and color coordinated as they salute our Veterans.


Due to space constraints, parents are not invited to Veterans Day unless they are Veterans.

Car Rider Procedure Reminders and Changes

We would like to inform you of the following guidelines for our car rider line. There have been a few changes to the guidelines this year, so please read carefully. This is for the safety of all children.

Morning Procedures:

Car rider drop off time is now from 8:20-8:40 A.M. If your child is eating breakfast from the cafeteria, they need to be dropped off by 8:30 A.M.


Enter the parking lot by turning right off of Champions Forest. No left turns are allowed into the parking lot between 8:15-8:50.


Do not use Cell Phones while you are in the school zone. This includes the school parking lot.


If you are the first car unloading, pull completely forward to the large sign.

Pull as close to the car in front of you as is safely possible.

Have your child/ren ready to exit the car as soon as you pull into the loading/unloading zone.

For the safety of your child/ren, have them exit and on the right side of the vehicle.

Please do not change lanes or pass cars that are in the line.

The car rider entrance doors to the building are closed promptly at 8:40 AM when staff members enter the building. If you arrive after 8:40 a.m., you must park and walk your child in to the front office to be signed in.

Instruction time for students begins at 8:45A.M.

Afternoon Procedures:

Dismissal begins promptly at 4:00pm and ends at 4:20 pm. Please make plans to pick your child up on time.

Display your child’s car rider number prominently from the rear view mirror

If someone other than you picks up your child, he/she MUST have that assigned number

Please help your child learn his/her car number. This will help expedite the afternoon dismissal process.

If you arrive after 4:20 p.m., you must park and walk in to the front office to sign out your child.

5th Grade class T-shirt Order Form!

The fifth grade class of 2018 t-shirts are ready to order. The shirts will be charcoal gray with teal writing. As is the Yeager tradition, the students’ signatures will fill up the number 18 on the back of the shirt.


The shirts are $15 and payments can be made online (Log in or create an account at: http://yeager.cfisd.net/en/parents-students/s/ ) or with a check made out to Yeager Elementary, no cash will be accepted. Deadline for payments is Friday, Nov. 10.


A paper form is also being sent home with your child.

YEAGER VOLUNTEERS are encouraged to log volunteer hours - not only for time spent volunteering on campus, but off campus too (making phone calls, emails, teacher projects, etc), as long as it is for the school. PTO dues help provide student parties, fine arts activities, teacher support, instructional materials, etc.

Parent Notice

As a parent of a student at a campus receiving Title I funds, federal law allows you to ask for information about the certification, college major, and advanced degrees of your child’s teacher(s). You also have the right to request information about the qualifications of a teacher aide or paraprofessional providing direct services to your child.
