Help with This Year's Madison's Mitten Tree
Madison’s Christmas Sharing program looks different this year. There are so many families in need and we want to continue Madison’s generous tradition of helping those families have a special holiday. We hope you will help us support these families. Due to current circumstances, all of our gifts this year will be in the form of gift cards to Target. If you'd like to donate, please purchase a Target gift card (any amount) and give it to Lisa Parrilli (Madison's social worker), no later than Friday, Dec. 10. Thanks for your support and generosity! Questions? Please reach out to Mrs. Parrilli at email@example.com.

Students Invited to Participate with Madison Cares
This year students in each grade will have the option to take part in one project during their lunch recess to support the local DuPage Pads organization. The mission of Pads is to end homelessness by providing immediate shelter and food, and connecting individuals and families with resources on a path to get from dependency to self-sufficiency. Our goal is to help students gain an understanding of the needs of others in our community, and simple ways they can give back. Information with project dates and details will be sent to parents in the weeks prior. Grade level projects will include:
- Making fleece blankets
- Putting together Mens & Womens personal care packs
- Creating activity bags for children
- Putting together baby care donation packs
- Making Valentines cards with a prepackaged treat

Volunteer in the New Year?
The PTA met with the Madison Equity Committee last month to brainstorm ways we can celebrate cultural diversity year round. We’re still in the planning stages but are looking for volunteers who would be willing to share their culture with students. We have a lot of great ideas that we hope to roll out in the coming weeks and months. If you are interested in participating or have questions, please email Debbie McCraw at email@example.com or Julie Schultz at firstname.lastname@example.org. Watch for more information coming soon!
