What is a C.I.R.S?
How do acquire this wonderful profession?
The life of Computer and Info Research Scientist is difficult but a rewarding one. If you want to become a C.I.R.S then first you have to get through four of math in high school and at least two years of computer science. The next part is finding an a collage that is suited to your needs. After that then you will need to see how this affects your lifestyle and how it will affect where you live. Once this all said and done you will need to enroll in to the collage of your choice.
Some of the collages that you can attend that have courses open for this career are University of Phoenix, Strayer University, and National American University. Many of these offer special courses and help you find a way manage living quarters and keep yourself ahead in classes. Though in order to secure this position you will need to do at least four or five years for bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. If you were applying for a government position. If you are applying a government position then all you need will be the bachelor's degree and if you want to apply for a higher position then you need a PhD in computer science or a related field. In order to get a PhD you would need to six to eight years in computer science or a related field.
Once you have completed your PhD or your bachelors degree then you have to start the search for an job. The best places to get a a job as a C.I.R.S is California, Texas, and Maryland. Though you can go to other states they might not have as good pay or there might be less jobs than if you want to one of those states. Though it will be difficult at the start of the job it will balance out once you learn how to do it efficiently and effectively,
Once you have done all this then you are set and ready for a life as a CI.R.S. Though you will struggle you will get to the point where you can see that you made the right decision in becoming a C.I.R.S and you will be able to support your family and retire peacefully.
Pros & Cons
There are a more cons to this job than pros depending on if your a family person or not. The biggest con is that you have to spend long days at the office and sometimes you might need to spend weeks at the office before you can go home to your family. The other con is that you have to live close to work because the amount of jobs available is small so you have to stay ahead of the competition by getting there first. The last con is that if there aren't a lot of jobs in your state then you have to move to another or risk getting a low paying job.
