A Note from Ms. Graves

What a fun and crazy week! The students were very understanding as I was called away not once, but twice, to take my driving tests. It is just a testament to how strong our 2F community is becoming. Almost every child has brought in a personal artifact to share at morning meeting and we have been talking quite a bit about goals that help us take charge of our learning.

At the end of the day on Wednesday, students reflected on our day and shared their goals for Thursday. Some of those goals were:

  • to make characters talk in our story (adding dialogue)
  • to build independent reading stamina
  • to use time wisely during math
  • to become a helpful table team member
  • to find new strong partners
  • to use the bathroom at the right time

As you can see we are beginning to develop core Habits of Mind that can be applied to anything and everything we do. I can't wait to see how we grow next week!

Warm Regards,
