Introduction
Have you ever wanted to play a fun sport? Well basketball is a really a fun sport and you can make lots of new friends. You can learn how to play, dribble and a lot of cool stuff. Remember that the game is only for fun. Want to learn more about basketball skills? Then read my book.
chapter 1:Alert Dribbler
To become an Alert Dribbler, your dribbling should be as normal as walking. The players have practiced sense they were kids. The guards in the NBA never need to look at the ball as it falls to the floor and bounces and comes back up, as if it were a part of there hand. When its your first time playing basketball you may mess up when you dribble your first time. You have to dribble because if you don,t it will be a travel. A Travel is when you pick up the ball and move . So never stop dribbleing. A double dribble is when you dribble the ball then pick it up then dribble again. So never pick up the ball then dribble.

Chapter 2: Tricky Passers
A pass is simply the fastest way to get the the ball to an open teammate. Some great passes are planed and obvious - they cannot be stopped no matter how clearly a defender can see them coming - they just get the job done. A pass will make you score because a teammate cuts to the net. Passing is simple just practice and you wil get better at passing.Passing is good never be a ballhog because if you be a ballhog somtime the other team might get the ball so you have to pass! You should always pass so you can win and it would be unfair.
Chapter 3: Smart Layups
If a team could free one player for a layup every time to the floor,it would gladly take nothing but layups all season. Shooting from close in is usually worth the trouble it takes to get to there with the ball.If you do not know how to shoot a layup you can practice its simple! To shoot a right layup you got to the hoop then put but right leg up and shoot same as left but you go on the left side and do the same thing as right.

Chapter 4: Loose Balls
A loose ball is when you are dribbling and loose the ball. This happens when you are not focused, dribble to fast,or if someone is trying to get the ball from you. When this happens you want you want to get the ball back before the other team gets the ball. If the other team gets the ball they can score. So get the ball as fast as you can!
Chapter 5: Fouls
A foul is when you have the ball and someone pushes you, hits,or when you are about to go down the court and and someone is blocking you really close and high. Another foul is when you get stuffed. Stuffed means when you shoot and the defender jumps and hits the ball with his hand. When that happes you get to shoot 2 or 1 times free with no blocking,or pass the ball in to another teammate,or start with the ball again.A offensive foul is when you have the ball and you ram into someone.
chapter 6:What you need
This is what you need for basketball games and practice for games you need a drink, uniform, basketball sneakers, sometimes you need a ball. For practice you need a drink, basketball, basketball sneakers, and a practice uniform.
