Winter Holiday Traditions
Do you have a favorite winter or holiday tradition? Please share it with us here! We will be putting together a slideshow of responses for the students to view the week before break.
Ashbrook Recognizes STAR Students
This year our students have been working hard to learn our STAR principles:
Stay Safe
Take Responsibility
Always be Kind
Respect Everyone
Starting in January we will be recognizing two students per grade level each month as our STAR students of the month! These will be students who exemplify the STAR Principle of that month.
January's STAR principle is Stay Safe. Students will be learning about what it means to be safe in school and at home. We look forward to celebrating our amazing students with you!
Congratulations to our Governor's Educator of the Year and Support Staff Member of the Year!

December's Staff Shout Out:
"Mrs. Wilkinson has been awesome during these difficult times. She creates a calm learning environment and is able to refocus the class quickly. She has a warm spirit that nurtures her students which makes for an inviting experience. She is always positive and encouraging. Her class environment allows for a lot of creativity from students during writing and she is always excited to listen to her 2nd graders. I appreciate the kindness she has showed my shy student. He really enjoys her as a teacher and we appreciate her dedication to ensuring her students grow as learners."
Principal's Reading Recommendation
"The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats has been one of my favorite books since I was in elementary school! This book perfectly captures the magic of a snowy day.
