Love Delivered
We are once again partnering with Day 1 Bags to deliver Valentine’s day cards and fuzzy socks to those often overlooked on Valentine’s Day, Nursing Home Residents, and Local Foster Youth.
Our goal is for every BISD student to create one Valentine’s card, however, we would love to achieve multiple cards per student. Please strive to have students write a kind note on each Valentine (no blank valentine donations, please). We are asking that Elementary students craft and donate for the Nursing home residents and Secondary for the Foster youth.
Please ensure that the sock donations and cards are gender-neutral.
Unopened candy will also be accepted and used for Valentine’s Day Deliveries by Day 1 Bags.

Parent Education Speaker Series
The next event in the Parent Education Speaker series, titled One Pill Can Kill and Cyber Danger, will take place on Thursday, February 16th from 6-7pm at Champion High School.
Panel Guests will discuss the dangers that our students face, such as Fentanyl as well as online. This is an encore discussion on the two topics for those who were unable to attend the events in the fall semester.
All Boerne ISD parents, students, and community members are invited to attend.

School safety is very important, and it's up to all of us to work together as a team to prevent bad things from happening.
If we all stay alert and work as a team to report dangerous or suspicious activity, we can help keep our schools safe.

Transportation Changes
If you call after 2:30 p.m. the office will transfer you to the classroom, but it is possible the teacher may not answer if they are teaching.
Early Pickups
Lunch Visitors
Please note the following procedures that will be in place to help this process go smoothly when it begins.
- Visitors MUST check in at the front office by presenting their ID and obtain a visitor's pass.
- Visitors will be able to eat with their student(s) outside in our courtyard. We have wonderful picnic tables. No friends or classmates will be able to join.
- You are welcome to bring food for your student(s), but it cannot be shared with other classmates.
- Visitors will NOT be able to walk with students back to their class after lunch.

Pre-K: 11:00-11:30 a.m.
Kindergarten: 10:15-10:45 a.m.
1st Grade: 10:45-11:15 a.m.
2nd Grade: 12:15-12:45 p.m.
3rd Grade: 11:50-12:20 p.m.
4th Grade: 12:45-1:15 p.m.
5th Grade: 11:35-12:05 p.m.
Crosswalk Reminders
- All vehicles should stop at the crosswalk when pedestrians are present.
- Be on the lookout, especially in the mornings when it is still dark.
- The crosswalk is also in the school zone, therefore all vehicles should adhere to the posted speed limit sign of 20 mph.
We appreciate your help in ensuring the safety of our students.

Birthday Treats
All foods brought to campus for special occasions such as birthdays MUST have an FDA approved label with ingredients and allergens legibly listed.
It is best to have treats delivered to the office by your child's lunch so they can be eaten in the afternoon.
Birthday Marquee Announcements
Don't forget to celebrate your student on their birthday with an announcement on our marquee! Please purchase your announcement at least two weeks prior to the birthday date. The child's first name only will run on the marquee the entire week of their birthday. All funds go to back to support our school!

Our application is now 100% online. Paper CHC forms will no longer be accepted. Anyone volunteering on campus must complete the application and receive their approval by email before arriving to the volunteer event.
