March 30-April 3 Week 3 of Distance Learning

March 30-April 3 LIfe School Cyber Challenge Week for Staff and Students

From the Principal

I hope you have had some time to settle into week 2 of Distance Learning! Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions or need help. We are all here to help as you need us.

Next week begins week 3 of Distance Learning. Please look for more information from your child's teacher on what that means and what is expected next week.

Stay connected with us on Facebook, as we have the following events going on each day:

1. Morning Announcements led by our teachers and their children

2. Spirit Weeks/Staff and Student Challenge Weeks--next week is a "Cyber Challenge Week". Look for different challenges that you can complete with your child each day.

3. Next week, we will have a video announcing our Mustangs of the Month! Look for that on Wednesday, April 1.

We hope you are continuing to be resilient! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate you!

Mrs. Shepherd

Have you heard from your child's teacher?

Our teachers are ready every day to help you and your child, as you are learning at home. You should, if you haven't already, begin to hear from your child's teacher on a regular basis. Please feel free to reach out to them via email and they will respond back to you. I know I can speak for our teachers when I say that we care so much about all of our students. So, please reach out if you need some help, more information, or if you have questions. We are all here to help!

Distance Learning Site

Have you visited our Curriculum and Instruction Distance Learning Site? Visit, click on Departments, scroll down to Curriculum and Instruction, and it takes you directly to our Curriculum and Instruction site. On the top left-hand side, you will see Distance Learning. Click here to head to our activities and resources that we have available for all grade levels.

Breakfast and Lunch Distribution for Students

Parents, please remember that we have breakfast and lunch boxes meals available each day from 10 to 12 at our Lancaster campus. Please have your students with you. It makes the process much quicker if you have their First and Last name, grade level and campus written down. This is a drive-through service available to all students within the district.
Pick up locations are also open at our Mountain Creek and Carrollton campuses.
Big picture

When you are ready for life, you have the ability to understand how to make, manage, invest, and spend your money. You are responsible with your money and have a plan for the future. You understand ways to earn money and are grateful for the opportunity. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute, Financial Literacy. This weeks I will statement: “I will practice financial literacy by being responsible with my money.”

This week we are spotlighting Cedar Valley College in Lancaster. This community college offers associate degrees, certificates and programs in a variety of areas. Visit: to learn more about becoming one to the 2,000+ Suns.
