Friday September 16th
Our first full week with all of our students was a huge success!
- Kinder came all together and have been practicing learning each others names as well as ways to be friends to all.
- First grade started learning about the brain with Ms. Giesa in science class.
- Second grade was practicing identifying the subject of a sentence.
- Third graders practiced reading poetry with expression.
- Fourth and fifth graders have been working on creating their physical art portfolios as they talk about growth through artistic expression with Ms. Campbell.
- And sixth graders are working hard in band, strings, or art. Those taking band or strings have been preparing to pick up their instruments next week!
Principal Updates
Staff had their first collaboration time during Monday's late start to talk about student growth goals and how we are going to support all students in the learning process.
We appreciate parents supporting us during arrival and dismissal by not parking in the drop off lines, following all crossing guard directions, and pulling forward whenever the car in front of them moves! Our bus drivers also appreciate the space they are given to pull up safely and load/unload students.
If you haven't yet, please remember to fill out the CEP survey! The information we get from this survey helps with important funding and staffing not only across the district but also in our own building!
Nominate a student or staff member who you feel is showing exceptional excellence, and once a month Superintendent Dr. Adam Swinyard will select two employees (one classified, one certificated) and one student to honor!
September Breakfast & Lunch Menu
Games still needed!
Our new counselor Leah Lorimer and our new MTSS specialist Jon Burham work directly with our students to support social-emotional learning, social skill development, and building appropriate learner behaviors to set all students up for success now and in the future.
To help with this, they are looking for donations of board games or puzzles that would be appropriate for all elementary ages! Shoots & ladders, Candyland, Sorry! ... all are welcome! We are hoping these will stay at the school and staff could use as well. Please bring to the front office if you have anything you're willing to part with!
