Missoula Children's Theatre
Congratulations to those who participated in the Missoula Theatre production of “The Jungle Book.” With the snow day on Monday, students auditioned, practiced and performed within four short days. The performances were outstanding! Thank you to Ron and Mae Becker for hosting the directors. Thank you to Robin Timp for organizing practices, planning meals and preparing the programs.
Speech Contest
Congratulations to the seventh and eighth grade students who advanced to the regional level of speech contests: Clara Kriener, Parker Kuennen and Jayden Timp, Ashlyn Elsbernd, Emmy Gehling and Cameron Einck, Gabby Cline and Helen Frana, Jordan Einck, Henry Lensing, Allanda Kuennen and Lia Vstecka, Gracie Walz, Kashten Kuennen.
Spring Carnival
Thank you to all those who were able to join us for our second annual Spring Carnival. It was a great turn out with plenty of projects to view, games to be played and food to be purchased! Thank you to all who helped set up and organize. An additional thank you to those who donated hamburger for the walking tacos.
Step Up Day
April 28th was designated as Step Up Day. Preschool students from Calmar and Ossian visited Kindergarten and spent quality time with Mrs. Kathy Becker. 1st grade traveled to Spillville to visit 2nd grade. They had a tour of the building and were introduced to Ms. Leah Knutson. Thank you to Angie McIntyre, Kathy Becker, Elizabeth Uhlenhake, Ruth Cox and Michelle Brincks for making this transition happen so smoothly!
May Crowning
The Annual May Crowning Mass will be held in Ossain on May 10th. Please join us for the celebration honoring the Blessed Virgin Mother. Mass at Saint Francis de Sales church will begin at 9:00. Eighth grade students will lead the Mass and crown Mary. First Communicants will wear their First Communion attire and present flowers. Following Mass will be the blessing of First Communion Gifts.
Spring Concert
Kindergarten through 5th grade will present their Spring Concert on May 18th. Please plan to join us in Spillville for a 2:00 performance. This concert has been made possible through the efforts of the Luther College Music Education Program. Thank you to Jill Wilson, Claire Martin and all the Luther students who have participated.
