The difference between school and life? In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson. - Tom Bodett

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Character Trait: HONESTY

Students who are honest are:

...capable of admitting mistakes

Teach the importance of honesty at home by:

...keeping promises

...telling the truth

...being trustworthy

...discussing how important the truth is, even if it can get you in trouble

Telling a lie often leads to telling more lies.

Being honest is telling the truth all the time.

Being honest may result in unpleasant consequences at the time, but in the long run, honesty is always good for us.

Being honest after we have done something wrong takes courage.
