A Season of Celebration for Ministries with Young Adults

Passing the Torch: A Season of Celebration for Ministries with Young Adults
In honor of the National Celebration of Ministry with Young Adults, the USCCB Secretariat of Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth, in collaboration with the National Advisory Team on Young Adult Ministry and the National Institute on Ministry with Young Adults, is hosting a two-part webinar series for those that minister with young adults. This two-part webinar series is open to anyone who works with young adults ages 18 to 39.
Part 1: Looking Back
Monday, Dec. 12th, 2pm
This is an online event.
Part 1: Looking Back, "to revisit the past in order to learn from history and heal old wounds that at times still trouble us." (Christus Vivit, no. 199). This webinar is an opportunity (in part one) to see where the Catholic Church’s ministries with young adults in their late teens, twenties, and thirties have come up to this point and its implications for our work today, and to celebrate the excellent work of the USCCB National Advisory Team on Young Adult Ministry.
Part 2: Looking Forward
Thursday, Jan. 26th 2023 at 2pm
This is an online event.
Part 2: Looking Forward, "to look to the future in order to nourish our enthusiasm, cause dreams to emerge, awaken prophecies, and enable hope to blossom” (Christus Vivit, no. 199).
This webinar is an opportunity (in part one) to see where the Church is going next and what new initiatives and opportunities are on the horizon for this ministerial area, and to preview what is coming soon from the brand new National Institute on Ministry with Young Adults. As the Advisory Team transitions toward the National Institute, this will also serve as a “passing of the torch” from one leadership team to another – and we invite you to be part of that journey together.
Visiting Rome?

If you are a young adult or know a young adult visiting/studying abroad, the Diocese of Rochester can help request tickets for Papal Audiences and Liturgies through the Bishops’ Office for United States Visitors to the Vatican! The Visitors’ Office, sponsored by the Pontifical North American College and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), can also provide information on making a pilgrimage to Rome prayerful. St. Paul Street & School of Evangelization
St. Paul Street Evangelization (SPSE) is a grassroots, non-profit organization, dedicated to responding to the mandate of Jesus to preach the Gospel to all nations by taking the Catholic Faith to the streets. St. Paul Street Evangelization provides the tools and resources for Catholics to engage the culture in a simple, non-confrontational method of evangelization which involves making themselves available to the public to answer questions about the Faith and to pray with those who request it. SPSE has had tremendous growth and now has teams throughout the United States and internationally. The St. Paul School of Evangelization is the educational arm of St. Paul Street Evangelization dedicated to training, equipping, and mobilizing Catholic disciples for the urgent work of evangelization.
Young adults have expressed interest in both the street evangelization and school of evangelization. If you would like to learn more or join other interested young adults in getting involved, email Mark at Mark.Capellazzi@dor.org. You can also learn more by clicking the button below.
