The Interrupters is a raw, emotional, and intense 90ish minute documentary about community/gang violence in Chicago and all of those who are involved. It tells the story of three violence interrupters who try to protect their Chicago communities from the violence they once were involved in. It examines a year in which Chicago drew national headlines (the Chicago Project for Violence Prevention initiative) for violence and murder that plagued the city.
