Literacy
In Literacy this semester, students have been learning the alphabet and sounds. They have been learning how to read by participating in the L3 Program. They have enjoyed working in learning centres that give them opportunities for independent and self-directed learning. For Writing, they have started learning how to write simple sentences using their sight words. Their writing focus this term has been about the farm.

Our visit to Calmsley Hill City Farm allowed the students to have a hands on experience with some of the farm animals. Students had the opportunity to milk a cow, enjoy a tractor ride and watch the sheep shearing show. It was a fun day for all! Students have been doing some amazing writing in class and have even made a farm diorama!!
