  • The PSAT/NMSQT is being offered for all juniors at no cost to the student/family on Thursday, October 29th, 2020 in person at Stony Point High School.
  • All 11th grade students (virtual and on campus) are encouraged to take the PSAT on October 29th.

  • Similar format to the SAT in March to assist you in feeling better prepared

  • National Merit Scholarship Program

    • When you take the PSAT/NMSQT, you may meet requirements to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program and compete for national recognition and college scholarships.

    • By checking "yes" to the Student Search ServiceĀ® question on the PSAT/NMSQT answer sheet, you'll get access to over $300 million in additional scholarship opportunities.

  • After you take the PSAT/NMSQT, your score report will show you where you performed well and which college-level AP courses match your strengths.

**Juniors were emailed information with the PSAT form to complete, if your student hasn't completed it yet, please encourage them to do so. **

IS YOUR STUDENT APPLYING FOR A PERMIT OR DRIVER'S LICENSE?

If you're student is planning to apply for a permit or driver's license, they will need a form called the VOE, or Verification of Enrollment form. This form was being waived previously by the Department of Public Safety but is now required. This is the state's way of making sure your student's school attendance and grades are decent before they let you let them start driving around.
