PASS IT ON
This is an end-of-the-year recycling program that encourages Texas State students to donate unwanted clothes, kitchen items and room decorations to local families in need. Donations are sorted and set up in a "garage sale" atmosphere. Clients and families of United Way agencies and San Marcos CISD are invited to shop — for free — on distribution day.
SPIRIT
On Fridays throughout the year, the Texas State campus is a sea of maroon and gold. Spirit Fridays are a chance for students, faculty and staff to wear their Texas State clothing on campus.Everyone loves to show off their Bobcat Pride. Visitors are encouraged to participate in the tradition, too! So when people come to see the school on a friday for a college visit your expected to wear the colors.
CHANT
The "Texas State" chant can be heard at Bobcat athletic events. At any point during a game, fans on one side of the venue can be heard chanting "TEXAS," followed by the other side of the venue responding "STATE." Not only was one of the first cheers, they have done it for all the games they have played. SO when you go to a Bobcat game expect to hear it!
