PIRATE with identified lunch periods
Parents, we have asked our students to write down the day (P, I, R, A, T, E) with the order of the periods and their lunch period for that day. You will find the schedule linked with the lunch that the teacher has. If your child did not write down each day with the lunch, please have them do so to assist them. We know this is a change and our students are grasping the rotation very well. The rotation allows every student to receive intervention/enrichment in every class as their first block is extended.
Document to write down the schedule
If you would like some assistance, please reach out to their teachers or the grade level AP.

NWEA-MAP Testing Information
Dear Parent,
During the weeks of 8/31/20 - 9/11/20 of your child will take a MAP® Growth™ test from NWEA® on a computer or tablet. MAP Growth scores help teachers check student performance by measuring achievement and growth. Teachers use results to tailor classroom lessons and set goals for students.
MAP Growth tests are unique and adapt to your child’s responses to measure your child’s skill level. If your child answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. These results will provide a more complete picture of what your child knows and is ready to learn—whether it is on, above, or below their grade level.
Since MAP Growth tests provide immediate and accurate information about your child’s learning, it’s easy for teachers to identify students with similar scores that are generally ready for instruction in similar skills and topics, and then plan instruction accordingly.
MAP Growth reports also provide typical growth data for students who are in the same grade, subject and have the same starting performance level. This school year, students in grades six through eight will take tests in math, language arts, and science. The testing windows will be in August/September, December, and April. Following each testing period, your child’s teacher will share information with you to let you know how your child is performing academically.
We are truly excited to focus on your child’s individual growth and achievement. For more information about MAP Growth, visit NWEA.org/familytoolkit.
mySchool Online
Zooms
Starting on Monday, when students login to zooms, they will be let in one at a time and will be asked by the teacher to show their face for attendance just as they would if they were in the traditional class setting. Students must login to zoom with their legal first and last name. If you need assistance with the name being correct in zoom, please email Ms. Young at ayoung@pasco.k12.fl.us.
Planners
We have paper copies of the planner available for any mySchool Online student that would prefer to have a paper copy and not the digital copy. Parents, please remember to call the school to set up an appointment to come pick the planner up.

All inspections for Pasco Middle School have been completed and a Management Plan describing the results of the inspection and the action plan to control any asbestos found during the inspection, where applicable, has been submitted to the governor for approval.
