Traditionally, Thanksgiving and the holiday season is a time of gathering together and spending time with loved ones. As the COVID-19 cases begin to rise, you may be wondering how to protect yourself and your family but still have a sense of normalcy and enjoy the season with your loved ones. Below is some important information we want to share to assist you during this time!

Just as important as your physical health is your mental health wellness; please take this time to relax and count your blessings. Make a list of all the things you are thankful for and share it with your family. Try and ease your anxiety by focusing on the positive.

While we remain focused on COVID-19, we also need to be aware of flu season as we approach winter. Influenza (flu) viruses typically spread in fall and winter, with activity peaking between December and February. For more information regarding the flu please see attached flyers and resources. As always, please wear a mask, wash your hands, and maintain social distancing at all times!

Beginning Monday, November 23, 2020, we have been required to exclude individuals from school who are in close contact with individuals who have symptoms of COVID. Therefore, if any members of your household are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, all members of your household should be quarantined for 14 days, or unless an alternate diagnosis is provided. This is a significant shift from our protocols previously required. Additionally, we must go back to our daily screening form. We will require that any student reporting to the school campus must complete the form each day. If you have a problem accessing the form, please contact mgupta@florence.k12.nj.us.
