School Counselor Update
Highland High School- April 2021
State SAT Testing- ALL Juniors-April 13th
This is a graduation requirement.
Room assignments are posted on the School Counseling Office Windows. Students should have completed a pre-bubble in with demographic information and selected up to 4 colleges to send their score report.
All other students have a college/career day.
Illinois State Science Assessment- ISA- Juniors
This is a computer based science test.
Junior testing will occur in the science hallway. Seniors will not attend school- they have a college/ career day. Freshman and Sophomores will attend the regular school day (Red hours: 1, 2, 6 and 7).
The ISA aligns with our new Illinois Learning Standards in science. This assessment helps families understand how well students are performing academically and see whether they are on track to succeed in college. The ISA represents Illinois’ commitment to preparing all students for college and careers, including in the high-demand science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The assessment also satisfies federal accountability requirements.
