What is coal?
Coal is made largley of carbon but also features other elements such as hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur and 2 types of nitrogen. Coal admites greenhouse gases, that cause global warming and global warming is dangerous to planet earth. Coal is a fossil fuel and a non-renewable resource.
History of coal
Nobody found coal, however coal mining was invented by the chinese more than 3,000 years ago. The french started to record the use around 1679.
What is biomass?
Biomass is a renewable resource that is made up of plant waste and other organic stuff. Used as a fuel, in a power station for the generation of electricity.
Whats so bad about biomass
Biomass admites 50% more carbon dioxide than coal per megawatt. It can also make the climate change "problem" worse. The 20 permanent jobs over the 30 year life of the plant costs the public people.~$3.5 million per job
