School News
Tomorrow, we will travel to Monticello. The students should arrive by 8:50, but no earlier than 8:40. My class will meet in the back of the auditorium. It is going to be cold and we will be outside. It is even colder in Charlottesville on the mountain. Please make sure your child wears layers, has a coat, socks, a hat, and gloves. Students need a lunch and money for the gift shop is optional.
Wednesday is an early release day. Students will be dismissed 2 hours early. Carpool, parent pick-up and vans will be dismissed at 1:35. Bus riders and BAS will be dismissed at 1:45.
Family Reading Night is tomorrow night, February 9th.
The SCA is holding a Pennies for Patients Drive to help children with blood diseases.
The STEM Fair is on March 3rd from 6-8PM. Packets are available in the office if your child wishes to participate.
Subject by Subject
In math we will finish up Topic 10 and will have a test on Friday. Then we will work on adding and subtracting fractions with like and unlike denominators.
In social studies we will work on VS6. The test will be on Thursday. The study guide is not long.
In science we are starting SOL 4.2 Force, Energy, and Motion.
We will have our Valentine's Party on Friday from 1:30-2:30.
