A Note from Ms. Owens
We had a wonderful Grandfriends' Afternoon on Wednesday. The classrooms and hallways were overflowing with guests visiting SCA. Students proudly escorted their grandfriends to a sibling's or cousin's classroom. Our incredible teachers planned activities for the students and their guests to complete or offered students the chance to show off their knowledge to their grandfriends. Thank you to all the guests who were able to attend. It was truly a lovely afternoon.
As you know, we wrapped up last week with our school-wide Walk-a-thon despite the rainy weather. Students had a great time walking zig-zag laps in the gym as they skipped, cherry picked and bunny hopped in different lanes. Mr. Cano had awesome music playing to keep everyone moving and grooving. Thank you to Mrs. Hedderman, Mrs. Ferriter, Mrs. Brogan and the entire School Advisory Board for planning and facilitating the Walk-a-thon, t-shirts and hotdog lunch. And our hotdog lunch would not have been possible without the fabulous crew made up of SCA parents and grandparents!
On Friday, November 17, there will be NO extended care so we can safely facilitate the set up for that evening's Holiday Wishes Vendor Fair.
