There are a few changes around our calendar and day to day schedule this year. Our calendar is very similar to the District, BUT there are a few differences, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE follow our calendar and NOT the District’s. Our day to day schedule had to change a bit, we will start the day with the first bell at 7:50 a.m. and class will officially start at 7:55 a.m. EVERY DAY with a dismissal of 2:55 p.m. There will be NO LATE START WEDNESDAYS ANYMORE!!!

Our back to school night will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Highline Park in the pavilion. We will have hotdogs, chips and lemonade for everyone so please come and meet the teachers and staff and have a good time.

If at any time during the school year there are changes to your living situations, phone numbers, emergency contacts or you need assistance in any way, please contact the office so that we can make those changes in our system, or get you the assistance that you may need. We are here to help in any way we can.

We look forward to reconnecting with you, meeting you, after summer break.

Sincerely,

Student Drop Off and Pick Up/Staff Parking Lot

As we welcome the 2017-18 school and all our or families, returning and new, we would like to remind everyone that the parking lot is restricted to staff only during drop off and pick up times. We ask that you utilize the street parking along 2nd Avenue and obey the city street signs to avoid being ticketed. If for any reason, due to medical conditions or other reasons beyond your control, you need to enter the parking lot for student drop off and pick up, please contact the office.

Outside of drop off and pick up times when utilizing the parking lot please be cautious of pedestrians in the area. Do not text while driving. The safety of our students, staff, and community is one of our highest priorities.

Also note that we have new bell times.

* 7:50 am is the first bell

*class officially begins at 7:55 am

*dismissal is 2:55 pm

Students can arrive as early as 7:30 am. Prior to that time there is no adult supervision. It is so important that kids arrive on time to school every day and that they are prepared to learn. It is equally important that students are picked up on time at 2:55 as we do not have on-site after school supervision.
