March reading bookmark
Road to Success has been difficult for many students to log their minutes on the computer. Included in this newsletter is a bookmark that students may record their minutes on if they would like (you will need to print the bookmark). If students read 20 days, they may bring their bookmark to the library at the end of the month to get a prize. If Road to Success is working for you, please continue to use it. Road to Success has provided prizes for me to give out to those participating. If your child would like to be involved in other reading programs at the school, please visit my class web page. There are 5 other reading programs available.
Thank you,
Mrs. Hansen

Safe Utah App
Dear Parents,
Many of you may have heard about the SafeUT App that has been highlighted in the news and is currently being used in our secondary schools. This free app will now be available to students and their families at Lakeview and has two main functions:
1) Get help 24/7 during a crisis (call/text)
2) Report safety concerns to your school (violence, drugs, bullying, etc.)
- Personnel at the school are notified of the concern via email to investigate the issue.
During the next couple weeks all 4th, 5th and 6th grade students at Lakeview will be given a presentation on how to use the SafeUT App.
Attached is a short video explaining how it works and a link to a website with more information.

https://healthcare.utah.edu/uni/safe-ut/
We hope this will provide another means for students to get help and a safe, anonymous way to report concerns at the school. If you have any questions please contact our social worker, Chris Miller, at the school or by email at chrism@provo.edu.
Thank you!
