Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Year 11 Engineering Pictured is Year 11 student Dane using the milling machine as part of his controlled assessment practical. | Year 8 Basketball Pictured is our Year 8 Basketball team who have won the Corby Basketball tournament and will go on to represent the town at the district tournament next week. | Visit from Northants Police HQ Staff from Police HQ visited this week and talked to about careers that are available within the police force such as Dog Handler, PCSO and staff roles such as Control Room Operator, HR and Finance. |

Year 8 Basketball
Pictured is our Year 8 Basketball team who have won the Corby Basketball tournament and will go on to represent the town at the district tournament next week.

- Miss Connellan has nominated Year 11 student Callum for excellent effort and progress in English.
- Mrs Brown has nominated Year 11 student Caitlin for her dedication in making progress i English.
- Mr Harley has nominated Year 11 student Dane for progress and hard work in the Engineering controlled assessment practical.
- Mr Godfrey has nominated his Year 12 Physics class for the collaboration to solve a very challenging electricity calculation.
Mrs Vaghadia has nominated Year 12 student Taylor for her continued enthusiasm and Year 9 student Katie for great results in the Sociology test.
- Mr Chilver has nominated Year 9 students Sam, Sonny and Adrian K for excellent progress in coding Python during Computer Science.
- Miss Shran has nominated Year 8 student Abigail for great work and effort in English.
- Mrs Morgan has nominated Year 7 student Caleb for his helpfulness in Food and Cookery.
- Mr Horne has nominated his Year 7 Mathematicians for for constructing very neat triangles

Attendance Matters
Every single day a student is absent from school equates to a day lost of learning. At Corby Technical School we pride ourselves in maintaining excellent attendance. Our target is to achieve and maintain a whole school attendance of above 96.5%. We will be giving you weekly updates on our whole school attendance, the tutor group and house who achieved the highest attendance this week.
Whole School AttendanceAttendance this week is 94.83%, below our target, we need to all make sure we hit our target next week. | Best Tutor Group Best tutor group this week is 10C with 99.6%, well done to Mr Cox and the students of 10C. | House Winner House winners are S house with 96.39%, well done to Stephenson and Swirles. |
