Heart of Hartman
January 8-12
We love our Cool Cats!
We have had another great week at Hartman! Thank you for getting your children to school on time. Instruction starts right at 7:30! We enjoyed seeing so many of our families at the Awards Celebration on Thursday. When students receive a decal (it looks like a big sticker) for the Wylie Way Core Values or A/B honor roll, please stick it on Hartman yard sign.
Students are in the process of taking the MAP assessment (measure of academic progress). MAP testing measures what students know and informs what students are ready to learn next. Students took MAP at the beginning of the year. After this MAP assessment we are looking forward to seeing how much growth has occurred between testing events. Teachers are also administering the Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA). This is an individually administered assessment of a child's reading capabilities. It is a tool that teachers use to identify a students reading level. accuracy, fluency, and comprehension.
We are excited about our Famous Athletes Pep Rally on Friday, January 19th! Students may dress up as a famous athlete. MAVS Man and Champ will be at Hartman and have a motivating program for us! Thanks PTA for providing this fun event for the Cool Cats!
Thanks,
Mrs. Ballast #hartmanpride #nbrs2017
