When Celebrated

Jews celebrated on the 14 of Adar. While Shushan celebrate on the 15th of Adar.

Why Celebrated

After a battle the Jews were allowed to kill their enemies. So on the 13 they killed their enemies. On the 14 they celebrated and killed more of their enemies. The Jews of Shushan rested and celebrated on the 15th of Adar.

Above shows Queen Vashti, she was killed because she refused to dance infront of the Kings friends. After she died the king was lonely, he had a beauty pageant to pic his wife. His adopted cousin Esther was chosen. She didn't want to be Queen, but was force to.

Do they work during this celebration

No they rest. After rest they celebrate!


They listened to the megillah, call and that is called the book of esther and it tells the story of

purim.They give to the poor because they care of the least fortunate and give at least two or more people money and food. The jewish give gifts to their friends for friendship and they sented at least two or more ready to eat items or a beverage. On March 5 you gather your family or a guest or two to the feast and the it starts sundown and it will last to the evening.


For appetizers they had Sushi Hamantaschen (Onigiri),Avocado and Mango Salsa, Chicken Wings,Homemade Tortilla Chips.

For soup and Kreplach they had Chicken Soup, Kreplach & Matzo Balls,Butternut Apple Soup,Creamy Mushroom Soup,Nearly Instant Vegan Thai, Coconut Corn Soup .

For Salad they had Broccoli and Olive Salad,Chickpea Salad,Cherry Tomato Toss

Spinach, Egg, and Onion Salad.

For sides they had Green Beans, Almandine

Mushroom and Rice Casserole, Persian Steamed White Rice Sesame Broccoli.

For the main course they had Pulled BBQ,Brisket Hamantaschen,Balsamic Chicken,Easy Pot Roast,Mini Meatballs and Zucchini Stew.
