Faculty and Staff Update
"The Christmas Pageant"
Announcements by Sra. Farias
After speaking with Mr. Nolting, we came up with two days for rehearsing the entire play. The days are as follows: Friday, December 11th at 1:30 p.m. and Thursday, December 17th at 1:30 p.m. The 16th at 1:30 and the 17th at 1:30 would be a Dress Rehearsal. All costumes need to come to school on this day. Children should be packed up and ready to go home after rehearsals.
Band students grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 will have been selected for speaking parts today by Mr. Nolting. These students (20) will the following: 3 prophets, 3 townspeople, Mary, Joseph, Gabriel, Ceasar Agustus, a Roman soldier, 3 innkeepers, 3 stagehands, 3 shepherds. They will be in costume as they play in the band. The other 24 students that play in the band and do not have parts are to wear dark pants and a white shirt or white blouse. (both boys and girls)
Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 will each sing a Spanish Christmas carol. Pre-K3 will be shepherds and Pre-K 4 will be STARS.
Kinder and First Grade will perform 2 songs in English and one in Spanish. They will dress like Angels.
2nd and 3rd will sing one song in English and one in Spanish. They will also be angels.
I know there are some Angel costumes so teachers decide what class are wearing those and who needs to tell parents to come up with an angel costume.
4th grade will have 3 students be the Three Kings and the other children can dress-up in Christmas dress up clothes?
If there are any changes to the costume ideas, please let me know ASAP. I need to send a flyer home to all parents about what costume their child needs with low cost ideas on how to come up with one. So please discuss amongst yourselves today after school and let me know by e-mail so I can compose a flyer to send out tomorrow!!!
