Finish Strong!
We have a a busy last days ahead! With a busy ACP schedule this week, thank you for keeping students focused on learning and instruction after the assessment. This will be the last Messenger for the year, however, we will send emails on an as needed basis throughout the remainder of the year.
First a few Thank yous and KUDOS!
Thank you for such a warm and thoughtful surprise celebration Friday for the Administrative Team! We are so incredibly grateful to work with each of you. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. You all rock!!
A Round of Applause to all of our ENTIRE faculty and staff: teachers, leadership team, office staff, TAs, our parent instructor, Ms. Lennix, cafeteria teams, custodians and long term subs for being SUPER FLEXIBLE during a hectic testing season, with university interviews (Thank you Ms. Long! ---She does it all!) and everything else that you've juggled.... You all have FLEXED your FLEXIBLE muscle tremendously and we do appreciate you!

Special Kudos to Ms. Ramirez, Ms. Porras and Nurse Pridgen for being extremely flexible these last two weeks of school! You ladies are THE BEST!
ACP Reminders
- Please make sure cell phones are turned off during testing. This includes hall monitors.
- Seating charts need to be completed for each test with start time, end time, and student book numbers. Seating charts without this information are considered incomplete.
- Make sure students sign the oath on the answer sheet.
- Students do not need to bubble their names and ID on the answer sheet. It will either be precoded or filled in for them. Please have them only bubble the test booklet number and form number.

We will host the ACE Principal's Meeting at Mills this Thursday, May 26th. We will visit K-5 classrooms. Thank you for ensuring strong engagement and instruction, as you do every day!
Awards Day!
Please review the Awards Memo from Ms. Long and be prepared with all paperwork for a great event. Invitations will go home in this week's Tuesday's folder.
Grade Level Placement Meetings This Week
Grade Level Placement Meetings will be held this week. Mr. Hernandez will notify you of the scheduled time of your meeting for any students recommended for retention or the 9 Day summer Intensive held at Mills. Let's take this opportunity to serve our students in need of additional intervention.
Summer Learning Packets
Kudos to 1st, 2nd and 5th grade teams for submitting their completed summer learning packets! Please make sure all other grade levels have completed packets submitted by the end of the day Monday, May 23rd
TEI IMPORTANT ACTION ITEMS & UPDATES:
Teacher Verification Roster due by Wednesday, May 25th at 5PM. This will be your only opportunity to review and correct any student roster information which will impact your TEI scorecard. Log in to MyData Portal and submit by the deadline.

Student Survey Results
Student survey results are in! Overall, as a campus there are positive trends in several areas including: Classroom Environment and Student Engagement. Teacher Reports are available via Schoolnet.
EOY Action Items & Reminders
EOY Checklists were placed in mailboxes Friday. Please be sure to obtain all required signatures.
Please refrain from student errands to complete EOY signatures and tasks during the instructional day. Every instructional minute counts.
Summer Professional Development Agreement and 2016-2017 Teaching Assignment:
While almost all of you have received your next year teaching assignment, all staff will receive their official letter of assignment from Mrs. Clark prior to leaving for the school year. It is imperative that the Professional Development Agreement is completed and signed by your TEI Evaluator, then submitted to Mrs. Clark prior to leaving in the summer. I am attaching a few Summer Learning Flyers for your review.
We have lots of moving parts as we bring the year to a close. Thank you for the many ways you juggle it all.

Six Flags Reading Club Update!
Teachers who participated in the 2016-17 Read to Succeed program should have received an e-mail that your Six Flag tickets are ready to print. Mayor's Summer Reading Club!
Kids who read over the summer maintain their sills and are better prepared for school in the fall. Once again the Mayor's Summer Reading Club at Dallas Public Library makes if fun to read, get rewarded, and have fun. Sign-up begins in May. Please see www.dallaslibrary.org/MSRC for details!
Scholastic Warehouse Sale
It's time for Scholastic's warehouse sale! The sale will be held May 9-May 21 at their Arlington Warehouse, May 18-19 in McKinney, and May 24-25 in Richardson. Librarians, teachers, school employees, volunteers, and parents are welcome. Preregister for additional savings.
