My Health Survey

By Emma Blood

Introduction

In the last two weeks, I have been surveying people from different backgrounds, different ages and different families about their health. I used a website called Survey Monkey to collect and analyse my data. I chose these questions becasue I thought they would give me a good idea of peoples health and fitness levels. I had a few limitations when I was creating and handing out the survey, I could only have ten questions on my survey, I asked lots of people from the same age group and that people answered my survey stupidly. I think that by going with people from the same age group will affect my data.

Question One - Are you male or female?

From the data collected I can see that 75% of the people I asked were female and only 25% were male.

Question Two - What is your age?

From my data, I can see that 62.5% of the people I asked were between the age of 10 and 17. Because of the age group I asked, my data will be different compared to if I asked a varitey of ages.

Question Three - What is your current occupation?

Five people that I asked said that they were still in school

Two people that I asked said that they were teachers

One person that I asked said that they worked as customer service

Question Four - In a typical week, how many times do you exercise?

From my data you can see that 37.50% exercise for six or more hours a week, 12.50% exercise for five hours a week, 25% of the people I asked exercise for four hours a week and 25% of the people I asked exercise for two hours a week.

Question five - What physical activities do you participate in?

These are the responses I got from asking this question:

Running, walking, swimming, going to the gym, group fitnesses classes at the gym, personal training

Running, tennis

Swimming & pilates

gym workout, walking

Netball and training, walking the dogs, walking home and at school

Walking my Dog, paper round and Netball

Swimming

footy cricket basketball

Question six - On a scale of 1 to 5 how would you rate your current fitness level?

From my data I can see that the average fitness level for all the people I asked is 3.75%

Question seven - Do you have any current health issues?

From my data, you can see that 62.50% do not have any current health issues and the other 62.50% have other health issues which include - asthma, arthritis, scoliosis and ankle injury.

Question eight - In a typical day, how many of your meals or snacks include fruit and or vegetables?

From this data we can see that everyone that I asked eats at least two fruits and/or vegetables daily.

Question Nine - In a typical day, how many times do you consume dairy?

In this graph, we can see that everyone I asked has at least one serving of dairy a day and at most three servings a day

Question ten - How would you rate your overall health status?

From this bar graph, we can see that the average health status is 3.88% and that everyone I asked rates themselves average fitness or higher.

Conclusion

I can tell that from all my data, I can see that everyone I asked is healthy and fit. They eat a variety of foods which can include fruit, vegetables and dairy products. I discovered that younger people do not have many or any health problems compared to older people. Everyone does exercise, which is good and helps keep you healthy. Overall I think that everyone I asked is happy with their health and well-being.
