Band Commitment forms for the 2016/2017 school year have been passed out in band class. Please return forms by Friday, January 29th. The forms will be collected in class and presented to the guidance office. These forms will allow our guidance counselors to place students in correct related art classes.
The beginning band sign-up process will continue in February. This is for the 2016/2017 school year beginning band. The same information will be present at all four sessions and you may attend any session. This information includes class expectations and information on how to obtain band and orchestra instruments.
Yearbook picture day for music ensembles and clubs is Tuesday, February 3rd. Students should bring or wear their band uniform to school for yearbook pictures. Band pictures will be taken by class throughout day. Students will be given time to change into and out of band uniform.

CREATING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS (CPR)
Creating Positive Relationships (CPR) is preparing to be in your child's school in 2016. As part of that preparation we have created an opportunity for you to learn about our organization and the curriculum your children will be learning in CPR. Our goal is to support you as parents as you help your child navigate the changes that occur physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially during puberty.
On March 29 from 7-7:50 we will be hosting a live webinar for 5th grade parents. And then from 8-9:20 pm we will be hosting a live webinar for our 6th-8th grade parents. All you need to do is register at: https://www.cpr4teens.org/parents/webinar-info/.
We know parents are busy and we hope this new format will allow you to join us in the comfort and convenience of your own home. We also trust that you will find us to be a resource as you work to develop a healthy relationship with your pre-teen. This webinar will equip you with ideas, skills, and direction for opening up communication with your child.
There are also pre-recorded webinars online if you are unable to make the live webinar. However, they will not show the video due to copyright laws. If parents are interested in viewing the video's they can call our office at 317-846-0386 to schedule a viewing time.
