Periodic Law

Dmitri Mendeleev is known for his discovery of the periodic law. He created his own model of the periodic table of elements, and used it to rectify the properties of some already found elements. He also used it to anticipate the properties of eight elements yet to be discovered. We use Mendeleev's periodic table of elements in modern day time.

His Education

In 1855, Mendeleev graduated from the Main Pedagogical Institute in St. Petersburg. He then went to teach in the Russian cities of Simferopol and Odessa, but returned to St. Petersburg to earn a masters degree. For two years at the University of Heidelberg, Mendeleev continued his studies.
