Story Book Hollow - Growing and Learning Together!
Happy Spring!
Happy birthday to Brandon K., Sebastian P., Natalie A., Sydney G., Kayla D. and Miss Danielle and Miss Nadine. This month is all about travel and our earth! We will travel all over the world and even to outer space. Preserving our planet is of the utmost importance so we will be discussing recycling and how we can help keep the planet clean.
Infant News
There are lots of activities on the horizon too, such as a footprint rocket to fly to outer space, learning all about birds and playing with feathers to expand our sensory experiences.
Congratulations to Brandon for walking so well with the walker. You will be walking on your own in no time! Aiden is talking up a storm and communicating with his friends and teachers. Gavin is sitting up all by himself. Way to go buddy! James is rolling over and is having a blast in the jump-a-roo. Ali is visually discriminating shapes and putting them into the matching holes in the toys. He is also saying, "Please" and "Thank you".
Keep up the great work guys!
Last month we welcomed Miss Alyssa and Miss Jaclyn to the center, they will both be helping out in the infant room. Miss Alyssa has been in day care for about 5 years and Miss Jaclyn already works at another site for us, she has her education degree and 4 children of her own.

Toddler News
Last month we welcomed Miss Alyssa and Miss Jaclyn to the center, they will be helping out during the day in our class and the infant room! This month we would like to welcome Joanna to our class. We are so excited to have you join us.
Since it is finally warm out, this month we will be using our gross motor skills as we play "Mother May I", and "Red Light, Green Light, 123". With spring arriving we are anxiously waiting to "wake up" our bear from hibernating and take him out of his cave.
We will be exercising our visual discrimination skills as we sort recyclables.
3,2,1...blast off!!! Don't be surprised if your little one comes home talking about space and the stars. They will be learning about our earth, space and all that encompasses it!

Preschool News
They have been practicing their fine motor skills by cutting a lot more and have become cutting pros! This month we will discuss hibernation a little more, looking at the differences of what happens when the animals wake up (instead of going into hibernation as we discussed in the winter). Our bear will wake up from hibernating to tell us all about his sleep!
We will also be going green and discussing recycling. Please send in your recyclables for our recycle collage. In addition to learning how to preserve our Earth, we will travel the world and learn about different places. Stay tuned for a questionnaire for your child to share a fun place they have visited.
The children have made huge strides with their handwriting in the past few months. They have been working hard on their dexterity and building their fine motor muscles. I'm sure you can see the improvement they have made in leaps and bounds.
