Welcome Back Students!
Welcome back to the 2016-2017 school year! We hope that you have a had fun and relaxing summer and that you are looking forward to another exciting school year at Pennington Traditional School! Our teachers and staff have been working hard this summer to prepare their rooms as well as develop new ideas in curriculum for the start of the new year. We again, would like to give a huge pat on the back to our building custodians, Claudia Velasquez, Emmanuel Onuoha, and Rosa Hernandez for all the work they have done in preparing our school to be spotless and beautiful for the first day of school. Special thanks also goes out to our front office staff, Karen Oliver (Administrative Secretary) and Sandra Jordan (Bookkeeper) for their perseverance and commitment during summer preparation to have the front office ready for the start of the new school year.
We as an administration are looking forward to an exciting school year and we begin another year at Pennington. We will continue to set high expectations as we work together to "Blast Off to Soar, Explore, & Discover" to help ourselves and our school community reach it highest potential.

**PARENT DROP OFF/PICK UP:
During morning parent drop off, it is very important to pull forward all the way before allowing your child to exit the car. Not only will this ensure your child is safe, but it will also alleviate the congestion at the school’s entrance.
**Mode of Transportation:
- As students in grades 1&2 arrive, their bus number or parent pick up number will be written on their hand in order to ensure they are safely placed on the correct bus or in the correct private transportation at dismissal
- As students in grades 3-5 arrive, they will receive a slip of paper on which their bus number or parent pick up number is written.
**Parents are welcome to stay with their child until they enter the building. At that time, they will be in a safe and caring environment.
- The first week is committed to the students’ understanding of expectations, introductions, getting to know their classmates, touring the building, scheduling, and setting up routines.
