Where's the Snow?!
No snow days yet... but that just means more time to learn!!!
Sight words galore! This past week we added 'come' and 'with.' This coming week we will be adding two more... 'you' and 'what.' Our reading is really kicking up a notch with all of these new words and continuing to use our reading strategies! In math we have been plugging away with adding and subtracting. We'll also be reviewing attributes of shapes this week in math, so reviewing shapes at home would be great too!
In our literacy/science connection this past week we learned about different animals in winter. We learned about migration and hibernation. Hopefully you got to read about adaptation in the reader I sent home on Friday! :) See below for some cute hibernation projects being created!
Peyton is working hard making her bear's den for hibernation.
A Fun Fact We Learned
Some say that bears actually wake up once in a while during the winter, but it is stated as fact that bears do hibernate.
Zach IS a bear!!
We are working hard on using lowercase letters, spaces between our letters, and periods at the ends of our sentences! Practice at home!
