Virtual STEM Signing Day Event for Seniors

Washington’s students need to know that their hard work and dedication matter! Washington STEM is putting the spotlight on seniors who are pursuing a STEM career or education after high school through their all-digital STEM Signing Day event. Applications are open until May 15th and students can apply right now; just follow the link -> bit.ly/WASigningDay2020

SAT Update!

A new SAT administration for Saturday, September 26, 2020 has been added. This date will be for the SAT only, in the United States and internationally, with no SAT Subject Tests™ available. Sunday testing for religious reasons will be on September 27.

Registration for the 2020-21 SAT administrations will open the week of May 26. At that point, June registrants will be able to transfer their seat to a 2020-21 administration. All other students in the high school class of 2021 who don't have SAT scores will also have early access to register for the August, September, and October administrations. This includes students who had registered for March or May and had their registrations canceled and refunded. For each administration this year, they are also preparing to significantly expand their capacity.

Running Start Update

Running Start at Pierce College - A new process for placement in the Running Start program at Pierce College is being developed. More information will be coming in the next couple of weeks. The new steps and placement information will be posted in this newsletter soon. New student course registration begins on June 1.

Current Running Start Students at Pierce College - EVF’s will be accepted beginning April 27. Contact your counselor to get your EVF. Course registration begins May 19.

Richie Donlavage, Military & Family Life Counselor

Richie is now offering video and telephonic counseling to military members and their families. He can help with general coping, emotional stress & anxiety, grief & loss, marriage & relationship issues, family dynamics, child behaviors, deployment & reintegration, parenting issues, work challenges.
