Egg Harbor Township High School
Week of October 10, 2021
A Message From Our Principal
Greetings,
Start Strong testing was administered on Wednesday morning, October 13, to all high school students, with the exception of grade 11. This is the state testing to monitor where the students are and what they have learned. While it has been a difficult 18 months, our students are tested to show their growth so we can adjust schedules and meet their needs. The Freshman class will still have to be tested in science which will occur during their lab periods in the upcoming week.
Our athletic department has great things happening. Boys Soccer and Football coming off great wins. Cross Country is doing well and girls Field Hockey celebrated Senior Night with their game on Wednesday, October 13 and a win over Vineland.
Upcoming events this week include the Pep Rally on October 22, the Homecoming football game at 6:00 PM Friday evening the 22nd, and the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 23. We are looking forward to celebrating our students!
Until next week, have a wonderful weekend! Stay safe, be well, continue to dream of the possibilities ahead of us, be happy and smile at someone!
Ms. Connor

Student Assistance Program and Resources
The High School has adopted a new bullying-prevention program for this school year! #DAY1--a staff and student-led philosophy that will serve to foster a building-wide atmosphere of kindness and inclusion. This program was started a few years ago in Bergen County by the Tyler Clementi Foundation and has gained momentum throughout the state and country for use in schools, community groups, workplaces, and sports teams. We even have 3 of our own students who were selected by the foundation as leaders for this initiative! The premise is simple: the adults in the building make a “declaration statement” about behavior that is expected, as well as behavior that is unacceptable, and we all pledge to conduct ourselves accordingly. This includes seeking help when we witness unacceptable behavior occurring. This notion is called being an #Upstander.
Has your student taken their #Upstander Pledge yet?!?
Have them sign into their school account and click here! 😊
