Presidents' Message
Hello Hiteon Families!
Spring is here, the weather is beautiful and about half of our students have made it back to the classroom! We are so excited to be getting back into the swing of things and have some fun events on the calendar.
First off, our Bingo Night last Thursday night was amazing! Thank you to all the families who logged on to participate. It was different, but still a good time. A BIG thank you to Mrs. Sadlouskos for volunteering to be our Bingo caller. She really kept the game moving along!
We have Staff Appreciation Week coming up, May 3-7. It’s been a rough year, so get ready to show our awesome Hiteon staff some love!
Planning for our Virtual Fun Run is in full swing and it will take place May 10-16. The theme for the year is Super Students! It has been such a crazy year for our kiddos and the committee really wanted to recognize what absolute superheroes they have been through all of this. Information packets and Fun Run t-shirts went home with students this week. If your student has not yet received their t-shirt please reach out to the Fun Run Committee.
And finally, we are still looking for people to fill board positions next year. We really need a few individuals to step into the gap. If we don’t get these spots filled, we may not be able to do many of the things that our community has come to expect.
Warmest wishes,
Kim Rivers and Kristin Glover

Staff Appreciation Week May 3-7
Once again it is time to let our Hiteon staff know how much we love them. This year we're rolling out the red carpet for our stars. Let's shine the spotlight on the amazing people who keep this show going.
- Monday- We invite students to bring a flower for their teacher, a sweet smelling flora or a beautiful image.
- Tuesday- We'd love our students to bring a small non-perishable treat (nothing homemade, sorry) or send a gift card if that is what you'd like.
- Thursday- You are welcome to drop off a gift for your teacher.
- Friday- Let your muse guide your hand to write what you love about our staff. There will be a mailbox available to drop off notes and non-perishable treats, for CDL students.
Contact our Staff Appreciation Chair, Laura Yarnell, with any questions.
Hiteon Fun Run May 10 - 16
Fun Run is back! After taking a year off, our biggest fundraiser of the year is finally here. This year it will be all virtual - virtual pledges through PledgeStar, Zoom Fun Run activities with the PE teachers and virtual fun!
Our theme is Super Students! Our kids have been such superheroes through the last year that the committee wanted to honor that effort. So get out those superhero capes and masks, and get your Fun Run minutes in!
On a serious note: This is our biggest fundraising effort every year and missing out last year did leave a big hole in our budget. Setting up Pledgestar for your family is so easy. Go to pledgestar.com/hiteon to get started. Send out those sponsor emails to friends and family today!

Greenfield Health
GreenField Health is an innovative primary care practice dedicated to providing proactive care through evidence based medicine. Established in 2001 with a plan to recalibrate how health care is evaluated, delivered and experienced Dr. Chuck Kilo and his colleagues developed a system putting patient relationships, exceptional service and team reliability above all else. This model is developed to offer patients what desire they most, time with their doctor to be truly known as a person. The values and commitments to providing patients easier access, a trustworthy team and sound medical advice are still what drives the practice today.
GreenField has continued to stand out from other primary care practices by providing multiple ancillary services and collaborative care teams to our members. We offer mental health services including psychiatry, in house physical therapy, naturopathic and aesthetic medicine. GreenField also is one of the only private practices with an established eating disorder program. Over the last twenty years GreenField has expanded to multiple locations and developed great partnerships with employers throughout the Pacific Northwest bringing a higher level of care and accommodations for busy schedules and even global travelers.

Featured Family Celebrations: The Sarver Family
Violette and Beckett's "Papa" immigrated to the United States from Armenia when he was 17 years old. In Armenian culture - much like other cultures, food and family are very important. There are always large gatherings with family and lots and lots of food.
A few traditional dishes you might see at a gathering, (and maybe have had) are stuffed grape leaves and hummus. Grape leaves are a lot of work to make so we often make them together as a family. Violette's Papa passed down to her Mom, Lisa, how to make hummus and grape leaves and she is now passing that down to Violette and Beckett. It's a special family recipe!
Are you interested in having your family featured in an upcoming Newsletter? We will choose 3-5 pictures from family celebrations each month. Please send one picture and caption it with a short description to diversityandinclusion@hiteonptc.org.
