What we learned about
When we went on the excursion to Sunshine beach and Noosa Ti-Tree I had an amazing time. Getting to see all the processes our teachers were talking about, I think we understood it more when we were seeing the affects of the types of erosion.
WHEN THE FORCE OF THE WAVES COMPRESSES AIR POCKETS IN COASTAL ROCKS AND CLIFFS. THE AIR EXPANDS EXPLOSIVELY BREAKING THE ROCKS APART. THIS IS A VERY EROSIVE PROCESS.
THE SWASH ZONE IS THE WHITE FOAM WHICH IS THE AREA ON THE BEACH THAT IS COVERED AND UNCOVERED REPEATEDLY BY EACH SURGING WAVE.
IT IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE FOR THE EXCHANGE OF SEDIMENT BETWEEN LAND AND SEA.
