Hey Bobcat Nation,
I want to express my appreciation to everyone for such a welcoming and enjoyable start to the school year. It has truly been a pleasure to begin the mornings and end the days with conversations and quick waves. I am proud to be part of the GBS community that is so welcoming and positive.
This week has been full of a variety of different learning opportunities for our students. Mrs. O'Connor and I have both been impressed with the engaging activities organized by staff and the focused dedication of students. Creative experiments such as using water droplets on coins to help student understand the scientific process, to students collaborating with each other as they are promoting safety in health class, there are great things happening at Great Brook.
Take a look at the content below and have a great weekend!
PS - Just hear the Home and Harvest Festival has been postponed until next weekend!

Survey Permission Form (Important!)
Dear Families: You may have heard that ConVal is currently looking at configuration options for its schools. We have contracted with Prismatic Services to provide an external perspective for that work. As part of the project, Prismatic Services will be surveying students in grades 5-12 about their experiences in the district.
NWEA is Here
The NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) assessments is beginning this week. Our 7th and 8th grade students will be assessing on 9-26 and 10-3 while the 5th and 6th grade students will be assessing on 9-27 and 10-4.
Please partner with us and encourage your student(s) to...
- take them seriously.
- do their best and take their time.
- get a good night's rest prior to the assessment.
- grab breakfast, either at home or school.
Thanks for your support!
