Incoming 6th grade students can also attend an orientation on the morning of August 9th. School pictures/IDs will be taken during the school day on Wednesday, August 21st. SUMMER HOURS
Summer office hours will be 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. The office will be closed on July 4th and July 5th. We are not sure when the office staff will be moving to the 6th grade building so please feel free to call ahead before you stop by. Our phone number is (331) 228-3100.
THANK YOU TO OUR PTO!
I would like to personally thank the PTO for all of their support this year. You have amazed me with your generous gift of time and financial assistance all year long. The preparations for the end of the year 8th grade party have been monumental. Thank you to all!
8TH GRADE FAREWELL
As we say goodbye to our 8th graders, I encourage parents to get your children involved in high school activities from the get-go. Find something they like and insist on helping them to make a connection with a group outside of the academic day. In doing so, students find a connection with an adult advisor and other kids with common interests. This has proven to enhance the high school experience. Enjoy the high school years!
ONE BUILDING
Today marks the last day that Thompson Middle school classes are being held at two buildings. I am proud of the way that the students, parents, and staff accepted this challenge and rose to the occasion. Much has been accomplished during our two years as we have been keeping our focus on educating children. Thank you for the tremendous effort that all have put forth for our Thompson community. We are looking forward to being under one roof in August.
Enjoy your summer break!
~Steve

SAVE THE DATE! Fox Mill 5K & Color Run Honoring Kayla Lehmann
Please join us for the Fox Mill 5K & 1-Mile Color Run/Walk on September 7, 2019 honoring Thompson graduate Kayla Lehmann. Kayla, who passed away on April 7, 2018, was a St. Charles East freshman who was passionate about music while also being an avid reader and gifted writer.
Proceeds from this year's race will benefit Kayla's Hope (www.kaylashope.org), a foundation that seeks to take away the stigma of depression and mental illness so that no one has to suffer in silence. For more information, to register, or to make a donation, please visit www.foxmill5k.com.
