Scholarship Season
Hi Seniors!
Scholarship “season” is upon us, and now is a great time to start looking for and applying to different scholarship opportunities. This newsletter has a lot of resources to assist you with finding and completing scholarship applications. Ms. Weil has worked really hard to put all of our scholarship opportunities in one place, so be sure to bookmark the link below!
The Vernon Hills High School Scholarship Program is now open and accepting applications! We have 11 different scholarships that are available ONLY to VHHS seniors. For detailed scholarship descriptions, including essay prompts, click on "Scholarship Information" under the Vernon Hills High School Program heading on this page.
DEADLINE FOR ALL SCHOLARSHIPS: FEBRUARY 21, 2023
The VHHS Scholarship Program Application Has Two Parts
PART ONE: Fill this out ONCE
PART ONE is general information about you and your high school career. You will complete Part I only once!
PART TWO
PART TWO allows you to select the specific scholarship to which you want to apply. Locate the ones that apply to you and fill out the specific, supplementary information for that scholarship. You can apply to as many scholarships as you like, but you will need to complete PART TWO for each one.
IF YOU APPLY FOR A VHHS SCHOLARSHIP NEEDING A TEACHER REFERENCE, DO NOT ASK A TEACHER OR RECOMMENDER TO WRITE A LETTER. WE WILL SEND THEM AN EVALUATION FORM.
Most scholarships will be announced at the VHHS Honors Day Assembly on May 19, 2023.
Local Scholarships
Ms. Weil receives information about local scholarships (that have been awarded to VHHS students in the past) from now through the spring. You can find these scholarships on our VHHS Scholarship website. These opportunities will be posted below the VHHS Scholarship Program information:
