Panorama's Monthly Bulletin - October 2017

2000 & 2008 - California Distinguished School & All Around GREAT place to be!

It's not about being the best - It's about being better than you were yesterday.

Panorama's Annual Pancake Breakfast

Panorama had its annual pancake breakfast on Friday, September 29th. The event was a HUGE success with over 40 more plates being served! We would like to thank all of the families who participates, donated, and volunteered. Also, a huge thank you to our IHOP family in Santa Ana for donating all of the pancakes and sausages and to Cyrano's Caffe for donating the coffee. We are so fortunate to have such amazing families and businesses at our school to make events like this happen!

Step it Up!

Our only major PTA fundraiser for the year, Step it Up! has been a complete success thus far!

Friday, Oct. 6th is the day to turn in your PLEDGE SHEETS and any cash and checks you have collected.

As a reminder, to be a part of the Step it Up Event where there will be a Kona Ice truck, Prize & Chill Tent, Fun Zone, Game Truck, and much much more, you need to hit the $60 donation mark by Friday. Do your best and I hope to see you all there!

The Cow is Coming!

To connect agriculture with healthy food choices, Dairy Council of California is bringing a bit of the farm to Panorama this month. Mobile Dairy Classroom is a free, interactive assembly that teaches how milk and dairy foods are produced and how they contribute to healthy eating.

What began in the 1930s with one dairyman’s passion to promote healthy eating is now a program with six full-time instructors that reaches more than 450,000 elementary students every year. Students learn cow anatomy, milk production, agriculture’s role in supplying the foods children enjoy and dairy’s contribution to a healthy, balanced diet.

When Mobile Dairy Classroom is combined with free nutrition lesson plans from Dairy Council of California that are aligned to Common Core State Standards, students learn the full story of healthy foods — from the farm to the table — and how to make healthy choices for themselves.
