LHS Update

Parents & Students

Here we are again and December is upon us and with it comes all the excitement that the season brings. It is a busy time filled with the hustle and bustle of gift shopping for friends and family near and far. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff, students and parents for their continued support. Our school is truly a community school and it is at this time of year when the closeness of friendship shines. The new-year will bring new learning experiences, new challenges and new fun. We look forward to what lies ahead for us as a school community in 2021.

School Pictures

Purchased Photos are in. Students and Parents have two choices.

  • Pick up photos now anytime between 7 am - 3pm Monday - Friday until December 23rd.
  • Wait and photos will be passed back to students when they return to in-person learning.

If you choose to pick them up now, we recommend calling ahead so we can have the photos pulled and ready to go.

Publications Continues to Shine

LHStoday.org was just recently named as a Distinguished Site by School Newspapers Online for the third year in a row. LHS is the first Missouri school to receive this recognition so far this year by SNO. Congratulations to all of the students in journalism, magazine, yearbook, online news, and broadcast media who have all stepped it up to another level and been true pros this school year. Thank you to the LHS administration and staff for their continued support and allowing these students to function as a student-led organization.

Ledger magazine co editors-in-chief Ianne Salvosa and Lizzie Kayser both have stories published in the Old Newsboys edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Old Newsboys section is an insert in the regular copy of the Post. Below are links to their stories.
