School Library Month
School Library Month is the American Association of School Librarians' celebration of school librarians and their programs. Every April school librarians are encouraged to host activities to help their school and local community celebrate the essential role that strong school library programs play in transforming learning. 3rd grade: Technology Assessment, shelf talkers
4th grade: Big6 Wisconsin research project, My Quest
5th grade: Genius Hour presentations, Technology Assessment
5th Grade Geniuses
The kids were enthusiastic participants and engaged throughout the process. You may have seen some of them presenting or hauling in props for their presentations. Students shared what they learned from the process in any format except a slideshow. We saw speeches, movies, posters, websites and more! Some students learned how to knit, crochet, bake, build a model car or snowmobile, make a website, dangers of smoking, self help website, how to become a famous singer or turkey hunting tips, just to name a few!
