Mrs. Reingruber's Weekly Update
Select TRANSLATE NEWSLETTER at the top of the screen and select your language.
This week, our PTO launched their regular weekly Newsbytes email. This important update will be sent home to families each Sunday. A copy of my weekly Monroe Memo will also be included for your reference in the weekly Newsbytes mailing. Please take a few moments to read this update each week, as it will serve as my main communication between Monroe School and our families. I am honored to be a part of a community with such a dedicated school-family partnership and look forward to a great year of learning together!
The Monroe staff and I are busy finalizing our building procedures and preparing for an EXCITING first day of school for both hybrid and remote students on September 8th. Thank you again for your patience and support as we continue to navigate this school year together! This edition of the Monroe Memo has a few reminders for the upcoming week. However, next week's message will be FILLED with important back to school information...so stay tuned!
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. We look forward to safely reconnecting with you and your child in the near future!
Your partner in education,
Mrs. Kristin Reingruber
Monroe School Principal

The Monroe School PTO is providing parents/guardians the ability to pick up their advanced ordered grade level school supply kits via a limited contact curbside pick up.
Families should drive into the Monroe School parking lot at their assigned time based on last name, or use the late pickup option, to pick up their school supply kits. We ask that you please display your child's first and last name and grade in your passenger side vehicle window. As you arrive, please open your trunk or side door for our volunteers to place the kits safely inside your vehicle.
Monday, August 24th
Last name A-K, 9:00 am to 11:30 am
Last name L-Z, 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm
Late pickup (open to anyone), 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Students will not need to bring the FULL school supply boxes back to school on September 8th. Next week's Monroe Memo will communicate the specific items that children will need to bring back to school for their AM/PM hybrid in-person instruction. In the meantime, please explore solutions that work for your family and child that would allow your child to keep supplies together in their backpack, as supplies will NOT be left at school for safety reasons. Children will need to bring a limited supply kit between home and school each day, as they may also require their supplies for the remote learning portion of their school day.
If you are unable to pick up your child(ren)'s supply kits, please contact Maria Bush in the Monroe office at 630-861-4201.
Additionally, If any 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade families were not able to drop off their iPad last Friday, please be sure to return it on Monday when you pick up your school supplies. The district needs these specific iPads returned as soon as possible so they can be updated for the upcoming school year. If you can not return it Monday please contact Maria Bush in the office to set up an alternative drop off time.
Changes to Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Due to increased safety measures related to COVID-19, our arrival and dismissal procedures will be modified this year to keep cohorts of students together and socially distanced. While we realize this will be a change and might result in families needing to use different entry/dismissal doors, it is the safest way to allow our students to enter and exit the building. More detailed maps and information will follow in next week's Monroe Memo and signs will be posted on the first day of school.
