Testing
During the Mornings of November 12, November 13, and November 14, all second graders in FISD will take the IOWA Assessment. Please schedule morning appointments on days other than Iowa testing. The IOWA Assessment gives teachers and parents a snapshot of how students perform the basic skills of vocabulary, language arts, reading, listening, and math, as compared to other second graders in the nation. Please be sure your awesome second grader has a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast on these days. Please encourage your child with a hug, a reminder to listen carefully the first time, and to do their “Personal Best” on the test. It’s an opportunity to ‘Show What You Know!’
