New Dismissal Procedures for Students

We will be staggering dismissal in order to promote social distancing and allow our buses to leave the parking lot as quickly as possible. Those buses need to transport two more groups of children home after our Eisenhower kiddos as well as sanitize in between each group, so we will make their exit a priority.

If you are planning to pick up your child, you will follow the same traffic pattern as arrival (see map below Arrival Procedures). Please be patient as you wait for your child to exit the building and locate your car. We want to make sure all students exit safely.

Reminder: New Arrival Procedures for Students

In order to meet the parameters of the district reopening plan, we are changing our Arrival Procedures so that we can ensure social distancing. You can see in the map below that we will be utilizing multiple entrances; each grade level has designated entrances for car riders and bus riders. There is signage at each entrance, and staff will be posted each morning to direct students to the appropriate entrance.

We encourage parents who are dropping off their children to do so between 7:00am-7:30am. From 7:00am-7:20am, students will enter through Door #5, which is located at the back of the parking lot (see the green box below). These students will be supervised in the new gym, where they will be seated in desks that are socially distanced. Starting at 7:20am, car riders will utilize specific entrances specific to their grades. Also at 7:20am, any students in new gym will be invited to proceed to their homerooms. It is our hope that spacing out the arrival of car riders and bus riders will allow for a smooth flow of of traffic into the building. At 7:30am, students riding buses will then enter the building utilizing the entrances specific to their grade.

There will be hand sanitizer stations at each entrance; and students will be required to use hand sanitizer prior to entering the building.

Covid Daily Parent Form

As Nurse King shared in the newsletter she sent last week, every morning your student attends school in person you must complete the Covid Checklist in Genesis. This allows us to ensure that students who are entering the building are healthy and safe. If you do not complete the checklist, we will have to pull your student out of class to assess him/her. In an already abbreviated day, we do not want your student to miss instructional time for this. Please please please fill out this checklist each morning! Follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Parent Portal.
  2. Select the "Forms" tab.
  3. Under "Forms Library" you will see the "Covid Daily Parent Form." Here are the questions it will ask you: https://bit.ly/3mBb5qE
  4. Please complete, hit SAVE and then SUBMIT (see screenshot below).

If your child is not feeling well on a day he/she is scheduled to attend school in person, please keep your child at home. He/she may still access school virtually and be marked present for the school day.

Your cooperation with this will help us in our efforts to maintain a safe and health learning environment for all students and staff.

Attendance

It is only necessary to call the attendance line to report your child absent if he/ she is neither well enough to come to school nor attend school virtually. If this is the case, please call the attendance line at 732-431-3910, option 1. Leave a message with your child's name, grade, specific reason for absence, duration of absence (if known), and your relationship to the student.

Office Hours

Eisenhower teachers will hold office hours four afternoons a week from 1:50pm-2:20pm to work with students individually and answer questions students may have. Individual teachers will communicate to their classes their availability and the Zoom link by which students may reach them.

Front Office Safety Precautions

  • No visitors permitted in the building
  • No items may be dropped off for your student
  • If you have to pick your student up during the school day, you'll remain outside and we will deliver him/her to you

Mask Reminders

When we welcome our hybrid students to the building beginning September 21st, your child will receive two Freehold Township School District face masks. Please make sure your child enters the bus and/or arrives to school wearing his/her own mask on the first day of school, as district masks will not be distributed until homeroom. It is also suggested that your child regularly carry a few backup masks in his/her backpack in case they are needed.
