From the Principal...

The week of May 8-12 is set aside as Teacher Appreciation Week. Anna Middle School has the best of the best. Our teachers go above and beyond everyday to support our students. Please take time this week to thank your child's teacher. A simple "Thank You" means so much to our teachers.

STAAR testing has concluded and our students have done a terrific job managing this time of year. We are excited to see their successes on these State Assessments when we receive results later this Summer.

The month of May is filled with many end of year activities. We have end of year choir and band concerts. We will also be celebrating our students at our annual year end awards ceremony. We will be celebrating the end of year with our annual STAAR celebration carnival and celebrating our 8th grade students with a year end dance.

Lets make these final two weeks the best weeks yet!

Go Coyotes!

A message from Chief Jones..

I want to bring this to your attention so that we as a school community can work together to stop violence in the schools. We are starting to see a few fights at the middle and high schools already this year. With that said if a student is involved in a fight at a school or within 300' from the school property lines, the student can receive both school discipline (which usually consists of a DAEP placement)and be arrested and/or referred to Anna Municipal Courts for disorderly conduct. This charge brings with it a fine of up to $500 and court-ordered mandates if found guilty. Thank you for your attention in the matter and let's work together to put a stop to school violence so that our students and staff will have a safe place for education. Also putting the fights on social media helps make the prosecution for these crimes much easier for us.
